January 2019 Xeriuini River Ultra Exclusive Headwaters Trip

Peacock Bass Trip of a Lifetime

January 2019 will mark our first visit with clients to the upper headwaters of the Xeriuini River for Peacock Bass. Our vision for our operation on the Xeriuini River is finally coming true. The final steps in the process to take anglers to this remote section of the Amazon Basin have been completed and the “trip of a lifetime” is only a few months away.

Giant Azul Peacock Bass

The Headwaters of the Xeriuini are one of the most pristine, remote areas left in the Amazon Jungle. Crystal clear lagoons and Tributaries are abundant. Stories of the Headwaters area from the elders of the three villages on the lower Xeriuini River are amazing… 10+ lb Butterfly Peacock Bass, 20 lb Azul Peacocks and tributaries with 8-10 feet of visibility await the few anglers that are going to get to fish with us this season.

Sight Fishing For Peacock Bass

The Xeriuini River is over 150 River Miles long with over 100 lagoons and tributaries to fish as well. In our first two seasons on the Xeriuini we had fantastic fishing on the lower and middle sections of the river. There were numerous 100 fish days throughout the middle and lower sections and even a 200 fish day near the mouth of the river. The efforts made to keep commercial fishing off this awesome river has really paid off. Being able to control the sport fishing pressure also helps. We are only taking 24 anglers over three weeks to the extreme headwaters this season. 24…..

Totally Modern Shallow Drafting Angler Cabins

The expedition will be led by head guide Neto Silva, on site host Rob Anderson and a Brazilian outfitter each with over 15 years of experience fishing rivers in the Amazon. The accommodations on the river will be hard sided floating cabins complete with air conditioning in the sleeping quarters and dining cabin. The entire lodge floats in less than a foot of water and will enable us to complete our journey to some rarely seen areas.

The Ultimate in Peacock Bass Jungle Boats

Our light weight aluminum boats, with two large casting platforms for both anglers to fish at the same time, are perfect for jungle fishing. 18.5 feet in length, equipped with a 30 hp outboard, an electric trolling motor and a polling platform for the ultimate in stealth and sight fishing.

We still have a few spots available on our first week to the upper river area in January. The fishing dates are January 12-19 2019. The anglers on this trip for the first week will be the first anglers to see some of this river and some of its tributaries. Whether you have already been to the amazon or this is your first time, this is a trip and opportunity of a lifetime. This week is also special for the staff and clients because long time Peacock Bass Angler and Musician Evan Firstman will be on this trip providing daily laughs and night time entertainment.
